Just a few years ago, the old flooded quarry at Capernwray in Lancashire was abandoned and visited by only a handful of local scuba divers. Today, it is home to Capernwray Diving Centre, one of the most progressive diving operations in the UK. Jackdaw Quarry was in a sorry state until the Capernwray team appeared in 1995 with a vision to turn it into one of the UK’s most popular inland dive sites.
